A Youth and Young Adult Conference

October 25-29. 2013

Las Vegas, Nevada

How do we feel about our inner life? How do we cultivate it? How important it is to us?

These questions will guide our upcoming YaYA Conference. As we come together based on our appreciation of the teachings of the Urantia Book, let’s see what the Fifth Epochal Revelation has to say about the inner life:

“(1220.2)111:4.3 The advances of true civilization are all born in this inner world of mankind. It is only the inner life that is truly creative.”

This can lead us to many other questions that we will address all together in the union of our souls:  ‘What is an inner life? What is the purpose? How do we develop an inner life and what do we do with it?’

From October 25-29. 2013, we will embark on a journey into the inner life. The Urantia Book illuminates this concept to as a daily reality for each of us. Throughout an interactive four-day conference in Las Vegas, we will dive into the depths of the inner life and what it means.

Is our inner life the way to our greatest adventure in the flesh?

(2097.2) 196^:3.34 Man’s greatest adventure in the flesh consists in the well-balanced and sane effort to advance the borders of self-consciousness out through the dim realms of embryonic soul-consciousness in a wholehearted effort to reach the borderland of spirit-consciousness — contact with the divine presence. Such an experience constitutes God-consciousness, an experience mightily confirmative of the pre-existent truth of the religious experience of knowing God.

If the journey through these three states of consciousness is man’s greatest adventure, can we progress in our experience toward God-consciousness through the inner life?

We welcome all of you to join us for a journey within, a weekend of self-discoveries through both planned and unplanned activities: worship, prayer, exploration of the inner life and consciousness, study groups, service, college outreach, shared meals, hiking, boating on a lake, and more. We invite you to be part of this spirit-filled weekend in the west.

Accommodations: Generous Urantia Book readers in Boulder City, NV have opened their beautiful homes to us at no cost. The first 18 registrants will share these accommodations. Late registrants will have accommodations provided at a nearby motel.

Food: We will prepare our meals for the most part with the exception of an evening out in Las Vegas Saturday evening and a potluck lunch with a local study group on Sunday afternoon. Are you vegetarian? Do you have special dietary needs? Let us know when you register so we may accommodate you.

Pricing: Registration is $25 and includes accommodations.

2:30pm – YaYA workshops on the inner life: What does inner life mean to you? What does your inner life consist of? How to we access our inner life? How do we develop it?

5:30pm – Break and dinner prep

12:30pm – Study group with Las Vegas neighbors Urantia Book Paper 101: The Real Nature of Religion

2:00pm – Break Bread with Las Vegas neighbors: Potluck lunch and social

3:30pm – Plenary and Q&A on Consciousness

5:30pm – Transportation to Salvation Army of Southern Nevada

6pm Service project at Salvation Army

Monday, October 28th

8-9am – Centering Prayer Group at Grace Community Church

9:30am – Transportation from Boulder city to UNLV

10am – Set up campus outreach in UNLV Free Speech Area

10:30am – UNLV campus outreach Interactions with students, professors and staff of UNLV to engage their interest in the teachings of the Urantia Book and promote afternoon event

12:30pm – Lunch on campus

2pm – Open study group and Q&A on the Urantia Book at UNLV Urantia Book Paper 160, Section 2: The Art of Living

4:30pm – Closing circle at UNLV

5:30pm – Transportation to airport and back to Jameson residence

Tuesday, October 29th
