The time is drawing near for study, fellowship and worship with your Urantia Book family – and unseen friends! Once again this year’s Summer Study Session will feature a variety of interesting workshops. The Education Committee’s In-depth Study team, Katharina Becker, Marilynn Kulieke, Barbara Newsom and Sherry Layton, will host their third annual all-day intensive study experience, “Spirit Family: The Trinity as the Source of Family.” Pre registration is required. New this year is a “Family Life Round Table,” hosted by Vicki Arkens, Sara Blackstock and Tony Finstad, with panelists including grandparents, current parents and YaYAs. Once again Ken Keyser will provide an “Introduction to The Urantia Book” workshop designed for new and non-readers. A listing of all workshops will be available on the Education Committee’s website shortly.
Plenary speakers, Diane Labrecque, Derek Samaras, Chuck Thurston and Chris Wood will share their insights on the theme “It’s a Friendly Universe: Serving with our Celestial Family.” A period of meditative worship will precede the plenary talks and a festive Gala celebration will be held on Saturday night.
In addition, on Friday evening Captain Bob Bates will present an update on Robert Sarmast’s “Expedition to Eden,” the Triennial Delegate Assembly will take place prior to the conference and a General Council meeting which is open to observers will follow.
