Milestones of Jesus’ Young Life

Spiritual Growth Milestones of Jesus’ Young Life

The Urantia Book tells us that Jesus achieved the following spiritual growth milestones at age 20. These milestones are something that we also can strive to achieve, no matter what age we are:

If we would grow spiritually, we must….

*Learn well to bear responsibility.

*Know how to carry on in the face of disappointment.

*Bear up bravely when plans are thwarted and purposes temporarily defeated.

*Learn how to be fair and just even in the face of injustice.

*Learn how to adjust ideals of spiritual living to the practical demands of earthly existence.

*Learn how to plan for the achievement of a higher and distant goal of idealism while toiling earnestly for the attainment of the nearer and immediate goals of necessity.

*Steadily acquire the art of adjusting aspirations to the commonplace demands of the human occasion.

*Master the technique of utilizing the energy of the spiritual drive to turn the mechanism of material achievement.

*Learn how to live the heavenly life while continuing on with the earthly existence.

*More and more, depend upon the ultimate guidance of the heavenly Father while assuming the parental role of guiding and directing children.

*Become experienced in the skillful wresting of victory from the very jaws of defeat and transforming the difficulties of time into the triumphs of eternity.
