When Jesus spoke about evangelism, he wasn’t a professor teaching on the principles of how to cultivate new converts with a color-coded diagram and chart. He was speaking from deep within his heart with a love for the people of this world. Reminding his disciples of the emptiness that once was, now they had truth residing, and where there was just daily living now an eternal perspective had come in. Evangelism and outreach doesn’t begin in the words we speak but our everyday thoughts and actions and our own dedication to furthering our knowledge of truth. We cannot bring others to the light if we ourselves are not being immersed in this light.

In P1571:5, 140:3.18 we are reminded “If you would guide others into the kingdom, you must yourselves walk in the clear light of living truth.” We have an amazing opportunity to participate in God’s work, so we need to continue to fan the flame of our own faith and show our world our own lives changed, a new way of living.

Imagine having the cure for cancer and telling no one about it. Well we do have a cure, a cure for a spiritual cancer. Our world is dying from the inside out and we have a knowledge that brings about new levels of spiritual growth, gives a clearer value of human life, and requires self evaluation on a daily basis. If all our world leaders truly valued human life, how different would this Urantia be? How do our world leaders read this amazing truth? It starts with one person finding humanity in another and pulling out the spiritual beings aching to break free.

You never know when the simple invitation you are offering will make a difference in someone’s life that will have eternal significance.Jesus also never apologized for being vocal about the kingdom and this is what I rejoice about. Why be quiet? P1801:1, 163:1.4 “And everywhere you go, preach…” Our command was to make disciples and …“Simply go forth proclaiming: This is the kingdom of heaven — God is your Father and you are his sons, and this good news, if you wholeheartedly believe it, is your eternal salvation.”141:6.4

Teuvo Orjala

Hello my friends! I am Teuvo. Yes the son of Thomas that’s right!

This project you are seeing be born is a long time dream of mine. Its truly amazing to sit here living out my dreams. When you follow your heart in life it will not always be easy but there is a certain type of energy you receive from the father when you do so. I truly believe that many of us must lay down our material hopes about life and dedicate ourselves one hundred percent to the work of our creator. Each one of us who does this will inspire TEN! Or maybe a Thousand. And what work do I speak of? Doing what we have been blessed to understand. Live a life of service and love. But this takes a great effort and much training right? Yes it does and it is up to us to implore each other to work towards this goal. The previous generations have done wonderfully hard work for the realization of the Urantia Book and its teachings but it is our time to take it to the NEXT LEVEL! We have many resources at our finger tips and so many talented readers and dedicated disciples that it is our duty to create a foundation for generations to come.

We should consider ourselves so lucky to be the few who will create the framework for many. We hold a key to success in our hands. What are you going to do about it? We created this web site and we truly hope it helps. : )

Brianna

My name is Brianna Oliver and I am inspired without reach I hope you become inspired by me.  The out reach that I have done consists only of spreading the lovely teachings of the Urantia book.  For me outreach is fun, energizing, and fulfilling.  I have not read the Urantia Book from cover to cover but that doesn’t stop me from spreading the good word because it’s not how much you know, but how you use it, that impresses people.  I feel like my understanding of the teachings of the Urantia book shine through and inspire those souls who are hungry and ready for truth. Mainly I do out reach at college campuses, along without around the city, and lastly personal interactions with my close friends.

Doing out reach on college campuses I would say is most difficult. There are many hoops you must jump through to get allowed to do outreach on campus, along with getting the set up prepared.  A significant amount of times goes into the planning and preparation of a day doing out reach at a college campus. I usually spend my entire day at the college, thats the best most rewarding part.  I get to sit and relax with an abundance of printed material, books, spiritual vitamins, and wait to feed the hungry souls with truth.  I have to remind my self that not every one is ready for the teachings. That is why so may people walk by without making eye contact or act negative towards us.  The greatest reward however is, when someone walks up and says “I have no idea why I came here,” we let them know that we a happy inspired sons of god spreading the good word, then they light up and get the feeling of god.  The connections we make are irreplaceable and I am inspired to continue to do college outreach.

I consider doing out reach around the city as being in places that are busy and handing out free book cards while playing music, and hanging out.  I remember doing this on pearl street in boulder Colorado and it was lovely. One gentleman stopped and hung out with us for some time and inquired quite a bit about the urantia book and its teachings.  Some of this out reach can be done at the beach or at events.

My personal interactions with my friends it my favorite type of out reach.  It hits so close to home and I have the knowledge of how and what my friends react to.  This outreach is like building a castle with legos it takes time patience and skill.  I can always come back to where I left off and talk about ideas with my friends and frankly talking about god and ideas it much better  than talking about others or events.  This is the most important outreach to me because my friends and family are my foundation my support. If my support is inspired by the urantia teachings then I will be set up success for eternity.

Outreach it an enormous component to out society and it is the best service that you can provide your fellow brothers and sisters with.  God bless you and may you be loved inspired and challenged with all the wondrous glory of the kingdom out father has created. “Happy outreaching” with love Bri =)

Thomas Orjala - March 2012

A day at Grossmont College in San Diego. Aurora and I joined Teuvo and Brianna at Grossmont College in some outreach work. Teuvo picked up the permit and we went to an open area designated for outreach activities. Students stopped by the booth to see what we were about. Throughout the day we had many good visits as they passed by on their way to and from classes. I have run booths at many new age expo’s where the type of person attending is likely to be on a spiritual path of some sort. This is not so on all college campus. Many of the students appeared to be distracted by the burdens they carried as they invested their time in pursuing an education. If only they knew of the faith-giving gift awaiting them just a few steps away.

One young lady that Aurora spoke with had just been baptized 2 weeks before and was so excited to receive a card for a free book. I spoke with several Christians that were open to hearing about a new way to know Jesus. One young man walked up, took a look and asked if he could get a book in Spanish. I had brought one copy with me from Idaho and was delighted to hand it to him. Another fellow that was in his 30’s asked many questions about where the book came from and said he read anything that would challenge him in the spiritual/philosophical realm.

Teuvo had a lengthy and fruitful conversation with the leader of Christian activities on the campus. It was good to see him show a genuine interest in having a book after much lengthy discussion. The day was very rewarding and we left knowing that Urantia books were safely in the hands of people that had set aside judgments and opinions and followed their inner leading to speak to us about something new that could make an immense difference in their lives and those that they will touch with the gift we gave to them that day.
